Why do I need this treatment ?
Chemical peels are one of the most popular professional skin care services today because they can improve the quality, texture and colour of the skin.
How does it work?
Pro Power Peel is designed to work on the superficial layers/upper layers of our skin to slough off dead skin cells and resurface the skins texture. So in short, a peel will safely remove dull outer layers of skin which in turn increases cell turn over in the lower layers of the skin underneath and helps it to regenerate quicker to reveal a smooth, radiant complexion.
What is the downtime for the Pro Power Peel?
Dermalogica as a skincare brand stands on the core value of promoting skin health, so when they designed this peel, they designed it to work with the skin’s chemistry, not against it. There is literally no down time with this peel. Dermalogica wanted to create a peel that can be carried out on a more frequent basis as opposed to pushing the skins natural chemistry to the point of severe inflammation and other side effect often times associated with other facial treatments out there. It literally redefines the ‘peel’ experience!
What does the ‘peel’ contain?
As mentioned before, it is a customisable peel with three different options in the line up.The Ultra Bright Peel, Power Clear Peel and Advanced Renewal Peel. Fiona will decide based on a skin analysis which peel is best suited for your skin and can also use more than one peel within the facial if there is more than one stressing skincare concern. The peels are packed full of ingredients such as Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid to name a few.
What kind of skincare concerns can the Pro Power Peel Facial address?
From skin roughness, signs of photo-damage, fine lines, deep wrinkles, acne breakouts, sensitivity, congestion, and hyper-pigmentation.
What can I expect in the treatment room?
Prior to the Pro Power Peel, a consultative and patch test must be carried out 24 hours prior to your scheduled treatment. It is important for us that Fiona will give a quick analysis of your skin on the day of the patch test to veryify that your skin is suitable for the pro power peel. The treatment itself is similarly carried out to that of a facial.
What post treatment care do I need to follow at home?
Immediately after your Pro Power Peel treatment, your skin may appear red and flushed. As your skin goes through the renewal process, it is normal to experience dryness, redness and tightness, as well as some peeling or flaking. within a week. You may also notice a more pronounced appearance of pigmentation as it rises to the skin’s surface. These side effects will subside quickly with proper post-treatment care. The post treatment care will be explained in detail and are to be followed for effective results.Clients typically notice dramatically improved skin quality, texture and tone within three treatments. Ideally, a course of three treatments are suggested depending on the skincare target and goal. They are typically performed over a six- to twelve-week period, followed by maintenance treatments twice a year. The cost of the treatment is €60 for 30 minutes, or €100 for one hour.
